A driver was taken into custody after allegedly mowing down seven pedestrians — killing one — in New York, cops and police sources said Thursday night.
Four of the victims were severely injured and rushed to local hospitals in critical condition, police said.
Two people, including a 41-year-old woman, have died from their injuries, police sources told George V Magazine.
The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. at the corner of Water Street and Jackson Street, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
NYPD could not immediately confirm the type of vehicle the suspect was driving. Sources said they the driver is from the Bronx.
