Drew Barrymore and Chloë Sevigny both broke into the movie industry in the ’90s, and have since become Hollywood icons. Once upon a time, the two actresses were hanging out in a bathroom at the Sunset Marquis Hotel when things turned steamy.

“We had a really amazing hang time at the Sunset Marquis Hotel,” the Blended star began her story. “We were getting together. We had a long dinner, we were talking about a story that I’m so passionate about, which ended up becoming a film that Chloë was not only in, but got nominated for an Academy Award for called Boys Don’t Cry. That’s a bond for us.”

Barrymore then turned it over to the audience.

“I thought I’d turn our intimate, fun moment in the Sunset Marquis into a trivia question,” she told Sevigny, who encouraged her by saying, “We should! We’re entertainers!”

They selected a woman from the audience and asked, “We shared something in the bathroom in the ‘90s. What was it? A. Lipstick, B. Toilet Paper, C. A Kiss,” adding that if she answered correctly, she’d win $1,000.

The woman chose lipstick, to which Barrymore responded, “Well, it did involve lipstick,” eliciting a laugh from the Bones and All star, who added, “It was the ‘90s!”

“It was the ‘90s. It was a kiss,” Barrymore said with a giggle. “We were very free and just having the best time and it was just the sexiest, cutest, most [meow].”

During their chat, Sevigny shared some details about someone else she was kissing, her husband, Siniša Mačković. The American Psycho actress confirmed she had met Mačković through a mutual friend.

“[My friend] said ‘I know this guy, he works in a gallery. We love to talk about art and stuff, and I think you’d really like his humor,'” Sevigny explained.

She went on to add that the thing that sealed the deal for her was when he started planning their dates, saying, “[I knew] when I was initiating all of our dates. Like, ‘If you don’t start initiating, this is over.’ And he took charge.”
