Dakota Johnson Attended The Film Premiere In A Translucent Slip

Late at night, en route from JFK Airport to midtown Manhattan, a young woman (Johnson) strikes up a conversation with a cab driver (Sean Penn). Casual banter soon develops into a game between the two strangers as they swap stories about the important people in their lives. As the conversation unfolds, secrets are revealed, advice is shared, and a real connection is formed. At times funny, at times sexy, tense, and deeply emotional. This chance encounter will impact both of them in ways neither could have imagined, reads the film’s synopsis.

“Daddy” is reportedly set to hit theaters on June 28. However, Johnson has already managed to attract attention with her epochal appearance at the premiere in a translucent blue dress by Gucci. Dakota completed the look with black high-heeled shoes with an open toe, and left her long dark hair loose. The actress highlighted her blue eyes with black mascara, complementing the makeup with matte lipstick and light blush.

Dakota and production company Teatime initially broke the news of the film in a joint social media post in August 2023. Speaking about the intimate dialogue in the film, screenwriter Christy Hall told Entertainment Weekly last year what prompted the characters to open up to each other.
