Investigators said the bus driver got into some kind of verbal altercation with passengers who were in the vehicle.
During the confrontation, the driver pulled out a gun and shot two passengers, both of whom were airlifted to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Both men died from their injuries, police added. It is not yet clear what sparked the argument that led to the shooting.
The bus driver was detained by the police.
It is not yet known whether the driver will be charged, and there is no indication yet whether any of the passengers were also armed.
The investigation is ongoing.
