If you (also) plan to spend the summer in Paris, you should know that the capital is full of must-see places, but also more discreet, yet equally exceptional, addresses. For George V Magazine, Elle Macpherson shares her best-kept secrets in the City of Lights.

Not everyone has the chance to go on vacation this summer. But many have the privilege (depending on one’s perspective) of being able to stay and wander around Paris. Elle Macpherson , who is traveling in Europe throughout July, is a case in point, and she’s sharing her best tips for making the most of the capital.

“I love Amsterdam, Prague, Tuscany, and Milan, but if I had to choose one city in Europe, I would say my heart is still in Paris. I’ve spent a lot of time here and I still have wonderful friends here. I always smile when I’m in Paris. There’s so much beauty everywhere: the women, the food, the art, the architecture. Paris is so refined, elegant, and playful at the same time,” the Australian supermodel confides.

His address book

Her favorite spa

“I love the Dior spa at the Cheval Blanc hotel and the spa at the George V. I love their combination of beauty and well-being, with an approach that is both scientific and holistic. You can go there directly after an international flight: they offer specific treatments and spaces that help reset the circadian rhythm to combat jet lag.”

His shopping address

“I also like a small ethical cashmere boutique called Linnea Lund, at 7 Place de Furstemberg, in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The founder is Swedish and, on Thursdays, she always organizes a Swedish breakfast with flowers. You can discover cashmere while having breakfast.”

Where to eat?

“As for restaurants, I love Stresa, an Italian restaurant in the 8th arrondissement. I was actually there last night.”

Where to sleep?

“I would say the Madame Rêve hotel. I’m staying there for the first time and it’s a very nice discovery.”

His favorite neighborhood

“I like going to museums. I always check out the current exhibitions when I’m here. But I especially love spending time in Montmartre. It’s a bohemian, romantic, almost poetic neighborhood. The streets are beautiful, and I like to imagine what it used to be like.”

In his suitcase

“A book! Right now, I’m reading a book on breathing. I can’t remember the exact title, but I’m very excited to explore this topic further and discover the power of breath. I always carry Welleco’s Super Elixir with me , which I take in the morning on an empty stomach, usually with tea. It’s an alkalizing green vegetable blend made up of 50 ingredients: probiotics, prebiotics, vitamins, minerals, and adaptogens. It’s the most important thing I take every day. I sincerely believe it’s what has helped me through all the stages of my life: menopause, periods when I’ve been sick, and staying healthy, feeling beautiful, alive, and full of energy. For me, it’s the non-negotiable product. I also pack jeans and a cowboy hat. Melissa Odabash makes a gorgeous one called the “ELLE Cowboy,” and I wear it all the time. As for bikinis, I always pack Those from Eres and Melissa Odabash. I really like them. Finally, I also always carry SPF 50+ sunscreen with me . Right now, I’m using Garnier Ambre Solaire . And of course, a speaker to listen to music, because I love it.”

Her summer playlist

“I dance both alone and with others. For me, music is therapeutic, and I really like all kinds of styles: for example, Fela Kuti, Oum Kalthoum… And all kinds of world music. I also like gongs, frequency sounds, because they are very soothing to the nervous system.”
