With the weather turning chilly in the mornings and evenings, are you feeling okay? Regardless of daytime temperatures soaring to 30 degrees, the wind chill during the commute clearly tells us that it is indeed autumn. Naturally, this makes me search for ‘autumn clothes.’
This autumn, I find myself particularly concerned about finding items that I can wear until winter. With jackets being in style, an autumn look is instantly complete just by throwing on an outer layer over summer clothes or wearing socks. If I am going to buy new clothes, I want to be able to wear them for a longer period.
Emily Ratajkowski gave us a style idea. Having also appeared at the Tory Burch show, she spent a relaxing weekend following New York Fashion Week. She stopped by a farmers market in Brooklyn and purchased a bouquet of perfect autumn flowers in shades of orange and subtle brown, which perfectly complemented her outfit that day. It reminded me of Meryl Streep spotted on the set of the movie *The Hours*!
On this day, Emily wore brown straight-fit corduroy pants paired with UGG boots. She matched the look to the season by adding a thin black long-sleeved top. When early winter arrives, you can simply switch the top to a thick sweater and wear a coat.
Actually, considering that colorful corduroy pants have been in style since last winter, it was a really good choice. Plus, Emily confirmed my skepticism after seeing Bella Hadid wear UGG boots with jeans a few days ago. Perhaps UGG has now become a steady seller and a safety net to protect your feet from the cold?
If you are considering new clothes for the fall, how about a combination of corduroy pants and UGG boots? Personally, I prefer the eggplant scent over this pumpkin-scented color, but I think I will definitely end up buying the corduroy pants.
