From Laufey to Ludwig Göransson, the 2026 Grammys was a big night for Scandinavians. We break down the four standout Nordic moments

It isn’t particularly Scandinavian to brag, but our region knows a thing or two about music (pop, especially). That is to say that you’re likely to find a Scandi or two gracing the Grammy red carpet (if not the stage) and the 2026 Grammys were no exception.

Last night’s awards celebrated Nordic talent across several genres. Meanwhile, on the red carpet, we found a look from one of our region’s buzziest designers worn by one of the biggest stars in the world. Not bad for little ‘ol Scandinavia.

Without further ado, here are the four Scandinavian moments you may have missed at the 2026 Grammys.

Last night, former Vogue Scandinavia cover star Laufey nabbed her second Grammy in the category of Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for A Matter of Time. The Icelandic artist, who wore a dazzling custom-designed, crystal-encrusted lavender Miu Miu gown for the occasion (and coordinated lavender eye shadow), used her time on stage to highlight the importance of an arts education – a sentiment she echoed in our cover story. “I owe everything to my music education, to my arts education. We cannot cut arts funding, it’s so important,” she said. “What you all do here is so important. I love you all so much.”

It wasn’t only Scandinavia’s musical chops that shone at the 2026 Grammys. Billie Eilish wore a look by buzzy Swedish designer Hodakova whilst accepting the award for Song of the Year for Wildflower. Eilish paired the brand’s Upside Down Barracuda Jacket with a coordinated upside down skirt – both are crafted from upcycled trousers and black leather belts – completing the look with a white shirt (upcycled from fellow Swedish brand Eton) and tie. A big win for Swedish design and sustainability.

Speaking of unmissable upcycling, Zara Larsson took the Grammys stage in a Midnight Sun-inspired upcycled look by French couturier Germanier. The sequinned yellow crop top and matching skirt, complete with a ray-like fan bustle, had the Swedish pop star and Vogue Scandinavia alum looking like, well, the sun.

Ludwig Göransson continued his winning streak, accepting the awards for Best Score and Best Compilation Soundtrack for Sinners. The Swedish composer with the best hair in the game proved once again he knows his way around a red carpet look, opting for a retro relaxed pale purple Magliano suit with a black shirt. See you at the Oscars, Ludvig.
