Nothing seems to be going according to plan for Raúl Rocha and Fátima Bosch. After the Monaco fiasco, the co-owner of Miss Universe and the highly controversial Miss Universe 2025 have suffered another humiliation, this time in Cannes.

Raúl Rocha and Fátima Bosch were scheduled to attend an event at the Carlton Hotel on May 17th, during the Cannes Film Festival. The glamorous soirée was expected to draw guests including Tony Parker, the French basketball legend. However, the couple were reportedly not allowed to attend.

A spectacular setback, which strongly resembles the direct consequence of revelations published by George V Magazine, around the announced presence of Raúl Rocha at the Carlton. In our article of May 12, we expressed surprise that such a prestigious establishment as the Carlton, and such a respected personality as Tony Parker, could find themselves associated, even indirectly, with an event in which the name of Raúl Rocha appeared, co-owner of Miss Universe who is currently at the center of an extremely sensitive Mexican judicial scandal.

The Carlton caught up in the Raúl Rocha affair

The image was awkward: on one side, the Carlton, the legendary Cannes palace, a symbol of French luxury and the Croisette. On the other, Raúl Rocha, a Mexican businessman whose name is associated in Mexico with accusations related to cartels, organized crime, fuel smuggling, arms trafficking, money laundering, and alleged connections to criminal networks. It was therefore legitimate to wonder how Raúl Rocha could be prominently featured at a prestigious event, in the heart of the Cannes Film Festival, alongside French public figures.

Clearly, the question did not go unanswered. Following the publication of our article, Raúl Rocha and Fátima Bosch were excluded from the event. This exclusion is a terrible blow to the Miss Universe organization, already embroiled in controversy for months.

Fatima Bosch, the illegitimate Miss Universe, still at the heart of the controversy

The presence of Fátima Bosch didn’t help matters. The Mexican, crowned Miss Universe 2025, has remained at the center of controversy since her election. Omar Harfouch a member of the jury resigned, denouncing a rigged competition he refused to endorse. Providing evidence, he announced Miss Mexico’s victory before the final, citing conflicts of interest between the candidate’s entourage and Raúl Rocha. Since then, other jury members have also cast doubt on the legitimacy of the result. Louie Heredia, in particular, stated that he did not vote for Fátima Bosch, while Natalie Glebova indicated that the majority of the jury did not support her for the final victory. Fátima Bosch thus arrived in Cannes not as an undisputed beauty queen, but with her crown already badly cracked.

Fatima Bosch takes refuge in Paris

According to our sources, after being barred from attending the Carlton event, Fátima Bosch has taken refuge in Paris. Far from the Cannes spotlight, far from the hoped-for red carpets, and above all, without any known official schedule. A rather embarrassing situation for a Miss Universe who, just a few months after her election, is supposed to embody an active international presence. At this stage, the absence of a public calendar seems less like a break than a void. No more major events announced, no more media showcase. For a beauty queen whose legitimacy is already fiercely contested, this forced withdrawal reinforces the impression of a reign under a bell jar, managed in haste, at the mercy of scandals and closing doors.

Before Cannes, the Monaco fiasco

This Cannes fiasco comes just days after another embarrassing episode, this time in Monaco. Raúl Rocha and Fátima Bosch had announced their participation in a couture gala featuring designer Giannina Azar. Again, the event was meant to serve as a luxurious backdrop for a publicity stunt for Miss Universe. Again, The result was catastrophic.

George V Magazine had revealed that Raúl Rocha, despite being wanted by Mexican authorities, was parading in Monaco with Fátima Bosch. The article already highlighted the extreme unease caused by the presence of a Miss Universe co-owner with such a serious legal case. The Monaco gala was supposed to benefit from a princely aura. But here again, after we alerted the Palace of Monaco to Raúl Rocha’s presence, Prince Albert II, whose presence had been mentioned, ultimately did not come. A symbolically disastrous absence, as it deprived the event of the institutional endorsement that the Miss Universe organization wanted to associate with it.

A public relations campaign that turns into a disaster

The pattern is repeating itself. In Monaco, Miss Universe wanted to project a prestigious image: she ended up with a low-key gala, an absent prince, and a heightened controversy. In Cannes, Raúl Rocha and Fátima Bosch hoped to appear in a glamorous setting at the Carlton during the Festival, alongside stars like Tony Parker: they ultimately found themselves excluded from the event.

For Raúl Rocha, the setback is therefore twofold. Just a few days earlier, he was due to appear in Monaco in a haute couture setting. He had to keep a low profile after the revelations in Cannes, the same scenario: announced at the Carlton, he was ultimately prevented from participating.

For Fátima Bosch, the fiasco is just as devastating. Having come to Cannes to make her mark, she ultimately left the Croisette ignominiously. Her retreat to Paris, without any apparent official agenda, gives her reign the air of a media odyssey.

Now, wherever Raúl Rocha and Fátima Bosch try to link Miss Universe to prestigious venues, scandals catch up with them. The fairytale has turned into a social disaster.

Mired in scandals, Raúl Rocha is trying to silence George V Magazine and paparazzi Jordi Martin

After the humiliations he suffered in Monaco and then Cannes, Raúl Rocha finds himself embroiled in a series of media and legal scandals. And clearly, he’s not happy about it! He and his entourage are doing everything they can to silence those who dare to attack him and reveal his true colors.

Among the targets: George V Magazine, who published several investigations into the co-owner of Miss Universe, and Jordi Martin, a Spanish paparazzi photographer originally photos and video published showing Raúl Rocha on a yacht in Monaco, while he is wanted by Mexican authorities.

Since the publication of this information, Jordi Martin claims to be the target of a smear campaign and online harassment aimed at undermining his credibility, his work, and his motives. These attacks are being amplified by supporters or those close to Raúl Rocha. Their objective: to shift the debate to the photographer’s personality rather than addressing the questions raised by Raúl Rocha’s presence in Monaco.

Cannes also targeted

Following our appeal, and faced with this injustice that resembled an attempt at revenge and censorship by Raúl Rocha, Instagram finally acknowledged its mistake and reinstated our Instagram account, as well as Jordi Martin’s. However, this temporary suspension raises questions about press freedom and the use of reporting mechanisms against sensitive journalistic content, particularly when that content concerns high-profile individuals with influential networks.

A failed attempt at diversion

The attacks targeting Jordi Martin and these actions, which notably led to the temporary suspension of Instagram accounts, clearly aim to conceal the truth. The fundamental questions remain unanswered: why was Raúl Rocha present in Monaco? But the pressure, reports, and attempts at censorship and discrediting do not change the reality: Raúl Rocha and Miss Universe wanted to silence us. In Monaco and Cannes, they were ultimately the ones who were ostracized.
