On her first solo trip since announcing her cancer, Kate kept her children close to her with a unique accessory. On the second day of her trip to Reggio Emilia, Italy, the Princess of Wales was spotted wearing a fabric bracelet adorned with a floral pattern and several gold charms on her left wrist , just above her Cartier Ballon Bleu watch.
On Instagram, the brand behind this creation – the Milan-based Italian house Atelier Molayem – thanked the princess while sharing details of the product. “Atelier Molayem is deeply honored that HRH Catherine, Princess of Wales, has chosen to wear our 9-carat yellow gold bracelet adorned with her initials, from the ABC collection.”
“Designed in collaboration with @relaisroncolo1888 and paired with an original Liberty fabric, this piece of jewelry celebrates all the people who are dearest to us, those we always want to keep close,” the brand continues. A precious jewel reminiscent of the friendship bracelets made by Princess Charlotte and given to various members of her family, including her grandfather,
King Charles III .
This isn’t the first time the Princess of Wales has worn a symbolic piece of jewelry demonstrating her deep affection for her children. On May 6th, while meeting with families to discuss new research from the Royal Centre for Early Childhood,
Kate wore her “Alphabet” necklace by Daniella Draper , a delicate gold choker with three charms representing the letters G, C, and L for George, Charlotte, and
Louis. She has owned this necklace since at least 2021 and it is now one of her favorites.

She owns a second one, from the same English jewelry brand, a slightly longer locket personalized with her children’s initials and adorned with three engraved stars. She wore both necklaces on April 29th, her wedding anniversary with Prince William, on the Isle of Mull. Two small tributes to her three treasures who remained in the United Kingdom.

The Princess of Wales owns at least one other similar piece of jewelry: a necklace from the French brand Merci Maman, created by Béatrice de Montille. It features three medallions, one of which is engraved with Prince George’s name, explains the jewelry brand’s designer. “At Merci Maman, we celebrate motherhood through personalized jewelry, hand-engraved in our Parisian workshop,” the designer told
Lou Media. These varied creations, featuring medallions, charms, and birthstones, have clearly caught Kate’s eye, as she now wears her necklace constantly.
