Eva Longoria made a compelling case for the LBD while attending the 2026 AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards in honor of Eddie Murphy. Longoria channeled her inner vampire queen in a strappy black evening gown with a plunging neckline.
At first glance, Longoria’s minimalist ensemble seemed like a straightforward choice for the prestigious event. A closer look, however, revealed the careful attention to detail that made her LBD shine from every angle.
Longoria’s dress was held up by two tiny straps, that gave way to a plunging neckline and a fitted bodice composed of sleek velvet. Just below her hip, the fabric transformed into an opaque mesh material that created an asymmetrical partition from her right hip to her left knee. The gauzy fabric trailed behind her, forming a train that gave the illusion she was floating down the red carpet.

Longoria kept her hair and makeup simple for the evening, letting the dress speak for itself. She styled the look with a single mesh glove embellished with floral appliqués on her right hand. For jewelry, the actress wore a statement ring and a layered diamond necklace in silver. Later in the evening, Longoria added an oversized black blazer to her outfit.

Inside the event, the Searching for France star posed for photos with Arsenio Hall, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos, and producers Cris Abrego and Byron Allen. Other stars in attendance included Colman Domingo in a black coat with white floral embroidery, Nia Long in an asymmetrical metallic gown with a knee-high slit, and Kenan Thompson in a blue blazer with black lapels.
Jennifer Hudson was also in attendance in two stunning looks, including a long-sleeve sequin dress with a thigh-high slit and a plunging sleeveless dress in white with a beaded, fringe skirt.

Two days earlier, Longoria stunned in another lavish look: a sleeveless sequin dress with a dramatic, fringe skirt. The Searching for France star wore the shimmering ensemble while attending LACMA’s opening gala for the David Geffen Galleries on April 16. She styled the outfit with peep-toe platform shoes in tan and a glittering diamond necklace.
