L’Amour ouf is without a doubt the French film event of this end of the year. In theaters in less than two months, this romantic drama has just unveiled its first trailer, and one thing is sure, Adèle Exarchopoulos and François Civil are going to dazzle us.

L’Amour ouf: what will Gilles Lellouche’s next romantic film be about?

In L’Amour Ouf, a romantic drama directed by Gilles Lellouche mixing romance, violence and emotion, we dive into the love story of Jackie and Clotaire, two teenagers who are complete opposites. We are then in the 80s, in the north of France.

While she is a model high school student from the wealthy neighborhoods, he was born into a working-class family, and is far from liking to linger on the school benches, preferring the company of the docks of the port to that of studies. If nothing destined them to meet, one day, their paths cross, and it is the explosion, love at first sight , love at first sight. But Clotaire is suddenly sent to prison for twelve years, far from Jackie.

Rather than presenting the main issues of the film more directly, it seems that Studio Canal has instead chosen to capitalize on its star-studded cast to attract viewers. In no particular order, we discover, alongside Adèle Exarchopoulos and François Civil, Mallory Wanecque, Raphaël Quenard, Alain Chabat, Benoît Poelvoorde, Vincent Lacoste, Elodie Bouchez, Jean-Pascal Zadi and Karim Leklou. Will this be enough to convince? Possibly.

Over several decades, we will follow their love story, where destiny will intertwine pain and passion. And if life tries to separate them, nothing works, these two are linked, forever.

François Civil, Adèle Exarchopoulos… The five-star cast of L’Amour ouf

If it is so anticipated, it is because L’Amour ouf, in addition to being a French film, has a renowned cast. Headlining this dramatic romance, we find the darling of the French, namely François Civil, recently seen in The Three Musketeers and the feel good series Fiasco. The actor will give the reply to Adèle Exarchopoulos, who we could see on screen in 2023 in the Netflix series Voleuses.
