Haremlique Istanbul, which has the mission of distributing bed linens and home textiles to homes all around the world, continues to grow both domestically and internationally within the scope of this mission. Having opened two stores in Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul and İstinyePark Shopping Center in Izmir, Haremlique Istanbul has recently opened the doors of its new store in Bal Harbour Shops shopping center in Miami to visitors.
The founder and CEO of the brand, Caroline N. Koç, emphasized that Haremlique Istanbul is growing with sure steps both domestically and abroad and said: “Behind the steady growth of Haremlique Istanbul lies the importance we attach to quality in both our products and services. Without compromising on this understanding, we aim to introduce our products to more consumers and continue our brand journey that started in Turkey abroad. As a brand that produces locally, we bring together our country’s strength in this field with our own designs and introduce them to the world. We entered the American market by taking our place in Bergdrof Goodman, one of the world’s most luxurious department stores. Then, we opened our first store in Four Seasons at the Surfside in Miami. In this market where competition is quite strong and tough, we are proud to open our second store in Bal Harbour Shops shopping mall in Miami. As Haremlique Istanbul, we aim to further strengthen this pride by steadily increasing our sales points in the coming period.”
The store, which opened within Bal Harbour Shops, houses a special selection of home textile products, products of the Haremlique à la mer beachwear brand, and Haremlique Istanbul home accessories and gift products.
Located in Bal Harbour, a residential area that hosts Miami’s luxury resorts and impressive beaches, Bal Harbour Shops is an open-air shopping center that houses luxury brands and is considered one of the highest grossing shopping centers in the world. The brand, which has gained acclaim and customer loyalty with its Four Seasons at the Surfside Miami store, is now preparing to meet with its new customers.
Who is Caroline Koç?
Caroline Koç, the daughter of the Girauds, one of the well-established Levantine families of Izmir, is the former wife of Mustafa V. Koç, the first son of Rahmi M. Koç and Çiğdem Koç.
She completed her secondary education at St. George’s School in Switzerland and her undergraduate degree in Business Administration at Babson College in the USA. She married Mustafa V. Koç on July 14, 1992, who passed away on January 21, 2016 after a heart attack in Istanbul, Turkey The couple has two daughters, Esra (b. 1997) and Aylin Elif (b. 2001).
Between 1992 and 1998, Caroline Koç worked as the manager of Edwards of Hisar, which she owned. In 1998, she founded and assumed the management of İlkadım Children’s Education and Play Center. She is the founder and chairwoman of the boards of Haremlique Istanbul (2008) and Selamlique Istanbul (2009).
Koç, who is also the chairwoman of the board of directors of the Turkish Family Health and Planning Foundation (TAPV), a board member of the Tohum Autism Foundation, and a founding member of the Turkish Underwater Archaeology Foundation (TINA) and the Contemporary Education Foundation (ÇEV), was deemed worthy of the Women Who Make a Difference Award in 2015.
