Loewe luxury retail space, covering 433 square meters and spanning three floors, features its location in the Apgujeong neighborhood of Gangnam. The chic store stocks the complete range of men’s and women’s clothing, as well as an array of accessories including bags, shoes, and small leather items. Additionally, the showroom includes designer home scents and eyewear. The one-of-a-kind South Korean Loewe store also offers an exclusive collection of artist-designed handbags and baskets, featuring work by artists like Hafu Matsumoto and Tanabe Chikuunsai 4th.

The Apgujeong store shares its location with high-end waterfront neighbors such as Loro Piana, Hublot, and a flagship Louis Vuitton store. The new storefront is the fourteenth Loewe location in South Korea. Additionally, the showroom includes designer home scents and eyewear. Mirroring the other shop branches, the Seoul store distinctively showcases a handcrafted green ceramic façade and interiors.

The vivid colors are intended to spark an inviting contrast with the lively commercial district in which the store is located. Inside the store, ample use of concrete serves to cool shoppers from the outdoor heat while the use of accents in materials like oak and brass and colors like blue and brown echo the dynamic play evident in Anderson’s designs.

The store layout includes a selection of designer furniture such as Berin Club chairs, Utrecht and Steltman chairs, and George Nakashima’s spare woodwork. Also, Loewe leather puffer benches bedeck the abstract carpets fashioned by British textile artist John Allen. Adding to the interior’s appeal is a spiraling cluster of interwoven bamboo by Chikuunsai that dominates the first and second floors, complemented by art from Loewe Foundation Craft Prize-winning artists and finalists like Eriko Inazaki, Dahye Jeong, and Youngsoon Lee.

Pottery by John Ward and Zizipho Poswa, a sculpture by Ro Robertson, as well as paintings by Raphaela Simon and Poppy Jones, further mix into the store’s eclectic selection. To commemorate the opening of the Apgujeong shop last Thursday, Loewe held a celebratory event at the nearby Songeun Art and Cultural Foundation attended by brand ambassadors, local talent, and the press.
