Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice kicked off the cinematic celebrations and the celebrity red carpet looks did not disappoint.
So far, there’s been no shortage of high-octane looks, from George V Magazine September cover star Catherine O’Hara’s black Beetlejuice-inspired ensemble to co-star Jenna Ortega’s statement red sheer frock (the trend of the season, don’t you know).
Of course, we don’t just turn our attention to the stars’ sartorial choices; there are also film premieres to get tongues wagging at the 81st iteration of the festival. There’s the much-anticipated premiere of Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice to get us in the mood for Halloween; Maria, which stars Angelina Jolie as opera legend Maria Callas; and the debut of the controversial Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde.
Between the styling choices, the film reviews and the decidedly juicy off-screen drama, this year’s Venice Film Festival looks set to go from strength to strength. These are a few of our favourite looks so far.
