The Judge Of The National Court Francisco de Jorge Once Again Proposes Trying Rubiales For The Kiss On Hermoso

As reported by the Court, De Jorge wants the events that occurred in the World Cup final held on August 20, 2023 in Sydney (Australia) to be put to trial again, once the proceedings ordered by the Trial Chamber have been carried out. Criminal consisting of taking a statement from the current women’s coach Montse Tomé as a witness.

In the order to move to an abbreviated procedure, in which the investigation is concluded, the magistrate also proposes trying Rubiales, together with the sports director of the men’s team, Albert Luque, the former coach of the women’s team Jorge Vilda and the former manager of the Federation Rubén Rivera, due to the pressure to which the player was subjected to agree to make a public demonstration stating that the kiss had been consensual.

The head of the Central Court of Instruction No. 1 reiterates the arguments presented in his first order to transfer to an abbreviated procedure last January in which he considered that the kiss on the player “was not consensual and was a unilateral and surprising initiative” by the investigated Luis Rubiales.

Once this order is signed, the judicial body agrees to notify the Prosecutor’s Office and the accused persons so that, within a period of 10 days, they request the opening of an oral trial by formulating a document of accusation or, where appropriate, the dismissal of the case.
