After quietly revamping her website and putting up a series of billboards that popped up overnight in New York and Las Vegas, Lady Gaga officially announced the release of her seventh studio album via Instagram. Mayhem is coming out in March.

Mayhem will be officially released on March 7 via Interscope Records . The album is already available for pre-order.

The album will contain 14 songs.

Mayhem features 14 tracks, including previously released hit singles “Disease” and “Die With a Smile,” the latter of which was a collaboration with Bruno Mars.

Mayhem is Gaga’s long-awaited return to pop music

Lady Gaga’s seventh album explores her pop roots, reshaping the signature sound her fans love through a new prism that embraces chaos and change.

“The album began as me confronting the fear of returning to the pop music that my earliest fans loved,” Gaga explained in a statement. Of her creative process on Mayhem , Gaga said, “It’s like putting a broken mirror back together: Even if you can’t put the pieces together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in your own new way.”

Her fiancé is an executive producer

Michael Polansky, a philanthropic entrepreneur and Gaga’s longtime partner, served as an executive producer on the Mayhem album, along with Gaga herself and Andrew Watt, according to a press release. Other producers who worked on the album include Cirkut and Gesaffelstein.
