Sarah Jessica Parker’s Easy Book Storage Celebrates The ‘Bookshelf Wealth’ Trend In The Simplest Way Possible

Over the past few months, the Bookshelf Wealth trend has been taking over our Instagram and Pinterest feeds. The look embraces packed-to-the-brim shelves full of prized possessions, books, and sculptures. However, everyone has their own take on the look. Sarah Jessica Parker’s version of the trend celebrates one of her favorite objects: books.

The actress’s bookshelves show that prized possessions should be shown off, and it epitomizes 2024’s biggest storage movement

The Sex and The City alumna shared an image of her storage idea in a post about her book club, SJP Lit. She states: ‘As always, I’m incapable of picking a favorite, nor would I, even if I was so inclined. I could not compare, nor should they compete. They are all glorious, radically and wonderfully different from one another, and simply share one ingredient – supremely gifted authors.’ It’s clear that this woman loves books.

In the background, white-mounted shelves hold hundreds of books with a small Louis Vuitton Chest beneath. Through the shelves are stocked, they are stocked simply. Parker has mastered the 2024 interior design trend while putting her own spin on it.

By embracing the look in her personal fashion, SJP truly masters the bookshelf wealth trend, which centers on celebrating the things you love. By showing off her prized possessions (books), Parker turns her home into a personal oasis. It’s an important reminder that our homes are sanctuaries that should serve us.

However, just because it’s personal doesn’t mean it can’t be beautiful. Acclaimed interior designer Kathy Kuo says of the shelf decorating: ‘As the ‘Bookshelf Wealth’ trend of the past year has demonstrated, books make for a wonderful decorative element! Displaying your books out in the open as part and parcel of your decor—the way that Sarah Jessica does—is a nice way to add visual interest, a variety of colors, and also to show off your personality through the titles that you love.’
