The future Queen of Spain went viral for the question she asked soccer player Ferran Torres during the national team reception at Zarzuela Palace. The striker had promised to shave his head if Spain won the World Cup.

The Spanish royal family welcomed the World Cup-winning national team to Zarzuela Palace on Monday. During the reception, Princess Leonor, heir to the Spanish throne, was overheard asking Ferran Torres, the striker who scored the match’s winning goal, if he planned to shave his head. The soccer player responded with a “no, no,” causing Leonor to laugh.

Before the World Cup, in fact, Torres had promised that he would shave his head if the team won, only to quickly backtrack on his promise.

But he wasn’t the only player to have made a special vow if they won.
Lamine Yamal promised to grow a beard , Pedri to dye his hair blonde, Gavi to dye it pink, and Marc Cucurella to get a tattoo of coach Luis de la Fuente’s face. It’s not yet clear how many of these promises will actually be kept.

After his victory, however, Cucurella spoke about his promise. When asked where he would get the tattoo dedicated to de la Fuente, he replied: “I haven’t decided yet. I have to think about it, I have to figure out where to do it. People will ask me too, so it has to be somewhere visible.”

He then added: “In any case, we have a long road ahead of us. I hope people will give me some ideas. I’ll think about it and then the time will come to do it.”

Luis de la Fuente was also asked about the possibility of getting a tattoo to celebrate the victory. “I’m too old to get tattoos anymore,” he laughed. “No, not anymore. But they made a mistake: they’re serious people and they’ll keep their word. I already told them: ‘Did you make a mistake?’ They did, but they’ll enjoy this choice.”

The coach continued: “I’m not so terribly ugly that I need to put my face where no one can see it. But it makes me laugh, and I’m proud that they keep their promises. Above all, if you say something, you have to follow through: that’s another reason why I’m happy.”
