It wasn’t on the official schedule, but Princess Leonor wanted to accompany her younger sister to some of the activities she carried out in Zaragoza. During their appearance, they demonstrated their close bond, also in terms of style.
Absolute complicity, and not just between sisters, but also in their styles. This was evident in the surprise meeting between Princess Leonor and her sister, Infanta Sofía, which wasn’t on the official agenda. During this appearance, the heir to the throne stood out in a cleverly designed blouse from Zara and perfectly matched Sofía, not only in the colors of their outfits, but also in their makeup.
What began as Princess Sofia’s third solo engagement later turned into a joint appearance for the two Borbón-Ortiz sisters, a complete surprise that few had anticipated. However, the younger daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia did have her moment in the spotlight when she attended the comprehensive education workshop, part of the “Leading Teachers” grant program promoted by the Ibercaja Foundation.
It was during the following activities, which took place inside the Monastery of Our Lady of Cogullada, that Princess Leonor made her surprise appearance, giving us a beautiful image of the two sisters, completely in sync in their looks, for which they have chosen exactly the same colors, although changing the order.
While Princess Sofia attended the workshop wearing blue trousers and a white boho-style blouse, Princess Leonor opted for the exact opposite. She chose a dark blue Zara shirt, showing her support for Spanish fashion and affordable clothing, paired with pristine white trousers. However, the top, currently on sale at the Inditex brand, has a clever twist.
Although it appears to be made of denim at first glance, it is actually a linen garment, with its distinctive lower pleats. It features a shirt collar and is sleeveless, a detail that didn’t align with Princess Sofia’s choice of a three-quarter-sleeved blouse.
Another small difference in the looks worn by the two sisters in Zaragoza was their choice of jewelry. While Sofía went completely without any, Princess Leonor did wear some of the most special pieces from her jewelry box, some we had seen before and others she wore in public for the first time.
n the first group, for example, is the heart-shaped pendant she received last year during her visit to Sant Martí Vell, for the activities related to the Princess of Girona Foundation Awards. It is a piece designed by Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co., a gift that Leonor wore immediately and throughout the rest of the visit.
To see one of the pieces from the second group—those we hadn’t seen until now—look at her hands and the various rings she was wearing . One in particular stands out because of the green stone that adorns it. It’s a zamak ring with that characteristic olivine detail that Princess Leonor bought during her visit to Gran Canaria with her classmates from the General Air Academy in San Javier a few weeks ago.

But aside from these details that made the difference, the two sisters have shown themselves to be in complete harmony and perfectly in sync with their style choices. This is an extension of how they are also absolutely close as sisters, as we see in their joint appearances thanks to their gestures and interactions.
