The actor stepped out in Midtown Manhattan in a silky black Carolina Herrera co-ord that looked like a perfect mix of the comfort of loungewear and the elegance of red-carpet fashion. The monochrome satin set, from the fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, is composed of a strapless princess-seam top and breezy wide-leg pleated pants.
Watts paired it simply with shiny black leather platform pumps, some diamond rings, and gold earrings in the shape of swans, encrusted with tiny white diamonds. She wore her blonde bob slicked down and had on minimal, glowy makeup, plus a wine-red manicure.
Watts has been on a sophisticated style streak while out promoting her upcoming FX series, Feud: Capote vs. the Swans.
For the New York City premiere of the series earlier this week, she looked incredible in a lace black Givenchy dress with sharp side cutouts, plus black velvet opera gloves and diamond jewelry from Tiffany & Co. She additionally carried a crystal-studded Judith Leiber swan clutch, and kissed its beak while on the red carpet.
Capote vs. the Swans is the second season of the Feud anthology series Ryan Murphy co-created with Jaffe Cohen and Michael Zam. While the first season followed the infamous feud between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis (played by Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon, respectively), the new installment covers a conflict that occurred between famed American novelist Truman Capote and his socialite friends—the “swans” of the title—whom he betrayed by spilling details of their scandalous, hedonistic lives in his never-finished book Answered Prayers.
The eight-episode season was inspired by the biography Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era, by Laurence Leamer, and it premieres with two episodes on January 31 on FX. Episodes will be available the next day on Hulu.
Apart from Watts, the cast includes Calista Flockhart, Diane Lane, Demi Moore, Molly Ringwald, and Chloë Sevigny.
