Iran Rejects US Nuclear Deal Proposal – Reuters

The proposal for a nuclear deal was conveyed to Iran by Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi. Washington suggested that Tehran abandon uranium enrichment and export highly enriched raw materials. An Iranian diplomat speaking in condition of anonymity said the proposal was rejected and that Iran did not wanted to continue talks with the US government.

An Iranian diplomat told the agency this on condition of anonymity.

Tehran is ready to reject the US nuclear deal proposal, Reuters reports, citing an Iranian diplomat. He added that the conditions put forward by the Americans do not meet the country’s interests.

“In this proposal, the US position on enrichment on Iranian soil remains unchanged and there is no clear explanation for lifting sanctions,” the Iranian diplomat said.

Tehran is demanding the lifting of all sanctions, while Washington expects to lift them gradually. Earlier, the US called on Iran to accept the proposal.

Let us recall that Israel plans to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities regardless of the results of the US-Iranian negotiations.
