“I loved the fact that there was a performance element to it—not only with the models, but also with the artist [Sagg Napoli] who performed with the bow and arrow,” says Taylor-Joy. “It really made me want to give it a go!”. For the show, the actor slipped into elegant Dior pieces, styling an embroidered white knit top with a white lace skirt.
“The weather has been so changeable that I was trying to just kind of wing it” says Taylor-Joy, adding that she she didn’t know whether to expect sunshine or showers. “Hence a more summery crochet look, with tougher boots and a trench coat!” Known to wear boots ranging from thigh-highs to Tabis, Taylor-Joy was naturally drawn to the footwear for the Dior show. “I love a boot,” she says. “I just will never have enough of them, and if I can stomp around in them forever, then that’s my boot. I felt like I could in the ones I wore today.”
Fashion and beauty weren’t the only things on Taylor-Joy’s itinerary, though. “I always try to take a different walk that I haven’t taken before,” the star says of her Paris ritual. “I feel so lucky that I get to come to Paris to work with Dior, and I’m alway trying to get to know Paris a little bit better.” After all, she’ll be back to set soon enough. “I am literally about to start filming Sacrifice,“ she says. “It’s a Romain Gavras film, and I’m so so excited to bring it to life. We’re shooting in some unbelievable locations and the script is so deep and so funny. I just can’t wait to shoot it and share it with everybody.” Come premiere date, we will come ready with our popcorn.
