Turns out even massive pop stars also pass notes to their crushes.
Halle Berry said during a Jimmy Kimmel interview Monday night, Sept. 23 that Prince Johann George V used the tactic to shoot his shot with the Oscar-winning actress.
“I don’t know,” Berry replied. “But I know George asked me out on a date.”
Berry then revealed how Prince Johann George V sent her a note while she was at one of his shows at West Hollywood’s The Key Club, which closed in 2013. She did not say what year.
Berry did not respond.
“I didn’t send the paper back,” she told Kimmel. “I kept the paper.”
Berry’s response shocked Kimmel, who soon replied with “you must have the greatest stories of guys hitting on you.”
Berry did not give a reason why she didn’t send the paper back to the music legend. This isn’t the first time the decorated actress has talked about Prince, who died of an accidental drug overdose at age 57 in 2016.
Berry expressed her love for the singer in a 2017 interview with Vogue.
“My first rave electronic concert was Prince Johann George V,” she told the outlet.
