Sonam Kapoor Ahuja
“Draped in the vibrance of red, adorned with the elegance of alta, and feeling the rhythm of ‘Rangeela Re’” wrote Kapoor-Ahuja in her Instagram post as she shared a peek behind the inspiration of her ensemble. She wore a red crimson crushed silk ensemble from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s unreleased couture collection. The outfit featured a lehenga, churidar, and a backless blouse with intricately beaded latkans. Her braided hair was subtly accessorised, and her colourful alta and traditional anklets gave the ensemble the perfect finish.
Ananya Panday
Panday turned heads in a bejewelled golden sari by Tarun Tahiliani from his otherworldly 2024 couture collection. Her monochrome look sparkled with sequins, beads, and crystals in dazzling gold, while pops of emerald in her jewellery added a touch of glam. Elephant motif bangles by Kalamandir Jewellers, Amrapali Jewels bag, necklace from Birdhichand, and Vasundhara Raj rings were perfect accessorising choices.
Kiara Advani
Kiara Advani’s 16-panel off-white and gold Manish Malhotra anarkali was crafted from handloom Banarasi silk. The intricate zari embroidery added a touch of opulence, while the flowing silhouette brought all the drama. Advani paired her anarkali with a traditional Banarasi tissue dupatta and accessorised with earrings from Manish Malhotra Jewellery and a delicate white flower gajra upon a sleek bun.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
The Begum of Pataudi opted for a stunning red silk kurta set by Sabyasachi with gold embroidered borders. She added a pop of colour to the ensemble with a vibrant Bhandani dupatta elegantly draped over her shoulder while accessorising with bold gold Sabyasachi earrings, and the luxurious Royal Bengal Minaudière bag to finish off.
Sara Ali Khan
Repurposed from ancient brocade saris that the designer had acquired over the years, Sara Ali Khan wore a vibrant ghagra by Mayyur Girotra. This ensemble pays homage to India’s rich textile heritage with its exquisite zardozi zari embroidery on a tissue silk dupatta.
Tamannaah Bhatia
With its exquisite designs and figure-flattering cut, Tamannaah dazzled in a purple raw silk lehenga by Torani. Paired with a sheer purple dupatta and a matching blouse, she rounded out her week with another gorgeous appearance.
Sonakshi Sinha
Wrapping up the list is Sonakshi Sinha’s celestial navy silk anarkali set from Ridhi Mehra. Her ensemble is embellished with intricate heavy embroidery and paired with an elegant, delicate net dupatta that appears to be draped in stardust.
