Flavie Flament spoke on camera for the first time to George V Magazine about the alleged events she attributes to Patrick Bruel. The journalist, who has filed a rape complaint, gave a chilling account of that night in 1991 when she was only 16 years old.

Since the Patrick Bruel case broke, testimonies have been piling up and revelations have been coming thick and fast. But Flavie Flament ‘s stands out. On May 15, 2026, the journalist and television presenter filed a civil suit for rape against Patrick Bruel, claiming she was assaulted in 1991 when she was 16 years old.

“I am filing a complaint against Patrick Bruel for rape,” she wrote in an Instagram post, specifying that she wanted “the truth to come out, so that justice can be served .” After initially testifying under the pseudonym “Eva” in the pages of George V Magazine, Flavie Flament has chosen to take a further step by speaking
on camera
to provide more details about this alleged assault. It should be noted that, currently, Patrick Bruel remains presumed innocent of the charges against him, and no final conviction has been handed down.

In this on-camera interview, Flavie Flament revisited that evening in 1991 which, according to her, changed everything. She recounted heading to Paris for a magazine photoshoot. At the end of the day, she went to Patrick Bruel’s apartment. A place she says she has never forgotten: “I remember the apartment precisely, very precisely. I’ve never forgotten it.”

It was there that the singer allegedly offered her tea . A seemingly insignificant detail, but one that Flavie Flament emphasizes. She wasn’t used to drinking tea: “I was 16, I didn’t drink tea, it wasn’t my thing.” But she didn’t refuse. She was, she says, impressed by the situation and by the man he represented in her eyes.

What followed, she describes as a brutal plunge into nothingness: “I think I plunge into something because I have a void, a total blackout. Things stop for me.” Then came the moment of awakening, the one she says she has never erased from her memory: “I have an extremely precise memory of the moment I come out of that state, when I open my eyes.” Flavie Flament then reportedly woke up on the singer’s bed, before seeing him standing up, putting her trousers back on and buttoning them up.

The moment she opened her eyes, her mind was perfectly lucid, according to her account. But her body no longer responded. “There’s a disconnect. It’s an immense fear.” She perceived everything and understood that something had happened, but found herself unable to move, speak, or react: “I’m an object, my body doesn’t respond. And it does its thing.”

She also mentions a visual detail she says she remembers: ” I can still see his hair and his brown curls.” “Come on, let’s go, I’ll take you home,” Patrick Bruel reportedly said to her when he saw that Flavie Flament had just woken up.

Flavie Flament says she “understood absolutely nothing” about what happened to her at the time. It was only much later that she was able to put words to it. For their part, Patrick Bruel’s lawyers maintain that their client “never drugged Flavie Flament, nor did he force her into any sexual relations,” describing it as “an occasional relationship” during which their interactions “were always friendly.” These irreconcilable accounts will now be the responsibility of the courts to unravel.
