When most of us think of our siblings, having things in common doesn’t always come to mind. For Elle and Dakota Fanning — one of Hollywood’s biggest sister acts — this isn’t necessarily the case. The two actresses dominated the pages of Vanity Fair‘s 2017 Hollywood issue alongside Lupita Nyong’o, Emma Stone, Ruth Negga, and more, and they look right at home in the glitzy gowns fit for Hollywood royalty.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Dakota and Elle have shared the spotlight. They crossed paths early on in their careers as Elle would play younger versions of Dakota in I Am Sam and the sci-fi series Taken. Since then, they have both completely blossomed on their own. Last year, Elle made statements on the big screen with 20th Century Women and The Neon Demon*, while Dakota’s been working on The Bell Jar and Ocean’s Eight.
It’s clear there’s no stopping these siblings from making double the inspiring impact within the industry. You know what they: two is always better than one.
