Educational Service District 105 will be handing out free books every month at the Yakima Farmers Market.
Over the last three years ESD105 has given away more than 50,000 books to kids in south central Washington.
The Innovative Approaches to Literacy Grant has provided nearly $4 million in funds to allow ESD105 to give out books for five years.
ESD105 will hand out free books each month at the Downtown Farmers Market starting Sunday, May 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Books for kids of all ages from baby books to high school books will be available.
ESD105 will be offering English, Spanish books and dual language title.
Up to 3,000 books will be offered at each giveaway. There will be free bookmarks too!
