For the past few years, Angel Reese has been busy making a name for herself. Between her NIL earnings (which rank among the highest in college athletics), her 2023 national championship title alongside her LSU teammates and a 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut, she has had an impressive run within the last year in particular.

Only the latest accolade to add to her growing list of accomplishments is a spot on the cover of Women’s Health. The 21-year-old athlete joined the brand to discuss her success this past year, her belief in manifestation and her roots. Not only did she share her story, though, she also looked totally stunning in the process.

Reese took to the set of the magazine photo shoot in a series of bright white ensembles that were completely eye-catching. In a behind the scenes video that the LSU star shared to her Instagram on Feb. 20, she posed in a variety of bright white dresses and skirt sets that put her strength on display.

“They’re not mad at you. They’re mad it’s YOU!!!!,” she wrote in the caption on instagram, a refrain that speaks to her impressive level of confidence—which is, in part, responsible for helping her to the level of acclaim she’s achieved.

Like her SI Swimsuit debut, it was yet another example that the athlete, who answers to the apt nickname Bayou Barbie, can really do it all. Angel Reese was photographed by Yu Tsai in Los Angeles for the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue. Reese, also known as the Bayou Barbie, is having an incredible year. The junior forward helped lead the LSU Tigers to the school’s first NCAA women’s basketball championship in April, where she was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four. It’s no wonder top brands like Coach and McDonald’s have signed name, image and likeness (NIL) partnerships with the college athlete., Reese is a prime example of what it means to excel both on and off the court.

Reese’s looks on set were styled to be playful, energetic, strong and confident all at once. The SI Swimsuit team drew inspiration from the location of the photo shoot itself, which took place at an art deco-style house with rich colors and distinctive geometric details. Reese wore swimsuits in bold hues with textured details in order to highlight the bold energy of the location and the model herself.
