Our neighbors to the north have offered up some amazing exports, like the one and only Shania Twain, but it may be the Canadian tuxedo that is our favorite. In her latest Instagram post, the Anyone But You star wore an all-denim look that brought together a statement coat, wide-leg jeans, and even a denim bra top.
In the photos, which appear to have been taken at a studio backlot, Sweeney called out Miu Miu and its upcycled collection.
“@miumiu new upcycled collection in stores now #MiuMiuUpcycled,” she wrote alongside the snapshots. The collection includes remixed vintage pieces from the beloved Italian label and, presumably, includes Sweeney’s embellished jacket (take a closer look at the floral and sequin embroidery) and the dark-wash jeans. Her top featured a Miu Miu logo at the center of its deep-V plunge.
It’s not the only statement-making denim piece that Sweeney has worn recently. During her whirlwind promo tour for Anyone But You, when she wore almost a dozen outfits in the span of two days, she paired wide-leg pants with a very business-appropriate pinstriped vest and statement-making coat.
Of course, the tour also included many, many flirty moments between Sweeney and her co-star Glen Powell. When fans noticed the chemistry between the two off-camera, Powell was quick to shut down any rumors.
“No. But we do love each other,” he said before calling her “one of the most spectacular humans” he’d ever met.
“A great rom-com doesn’t survive without great chemistry, and Sydney is the easiest person to have chemistry with. I mean, immediately, it was like we’d known each other forever, and I think anybody that’s been on the set realizes I never get tired of talking to Sydney,” Powell told Entertainment Tonight. “We make each other laugh. She’s awesome, obviously one of the most talented actresses we have. This movie has felt like a rom-com in itself because Sydney is very easy to pretend fall in love with.”
