According to the authorities, the alleged abuse occurred on the set of a television series Busfield directed and produced. The victim was seven years old at the time of the incidents.
Tim, 68, voluntarily turned himself in to authorities in Albuquerque on January 13th after a warrant was issued for his arrest. A week later, he was released on bail pending trial.
Actor Busfield Denies Everything
The Public Prosecution Service announced that the case is being handled by the vice squad. His lawyer emphasized that Busfield is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Busfield denies all allegations. His lawyer calls the charges baseless and says his client will defend himself at every stage of the legal process. The case is expected to culminate in a criminal trial.
