With his Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Matthieu Blazy continues his exploration of Gabrielle Chanel‘s biography and the house’s archives, charting a new course for the brand while remaining true to its roots. The first model to walk the runway, where dozens of white birds fluttered and lit up as she passed, perfectly illustrated this idea. She wore a delicate, semi-sheer knit dress, minimalist yet rich in detail, and held in one hand a 2.55 bag that had belonged to Coco Chanel herself, sourced from the archives.
In this third installment of “The Conversation,” the title Blazy gave to this collection, he explores the different facets a woman reveals throughout her life. Facets that are reflected in the way we dress, according to our experiences, preferences, and tastes at any given moment. Charlotte Casiraghi didn’t miss her appointment with the house, with which she has been close for years, like her mother, Caroline of Monaco . The writer embodies precisely one of these “other sides of the coin” that the Chanel collection speaks of. She has long since entered a new stylistic era and has made the pantsuit her most recognizable outfit. This time, she chose a navy blue one, with wide-legged trousers and a jacket with a single gold button.
She paired it with a fitted black T-shirt, matching her square-toe ankle boots. The burgundy crescent-shaped bag—perfectly complementing her manicure—was the only pop of color. At the show, she crossed paths with her sister, Alexandra of Hanover , who had opted for a simple outfit consisting of a black sweater and trousers, square-toe shoes adorned with the gold Chanel logo on the instep, and a matching bag.
Another key figure at the fashion house, Carole Bouquet , whose son Dimitri Rassam had a son with Charlotte Casiraghi, was also present. She has long been a leading style advisor to those who wish to wear a suit. Hers was dark gray, fitted at the waist, and featured flap pockets. She elevated it beyond minimalism with large black and white ceramic bead earrings.
Nicole Kidman, Olivia Wilde, John Malkovich , Dua Lipa, Marion Cotillard, Ayo Edebiri, Pedro Pascal and Alexa Demie, among others, completed Chanel’s always very full front row.
