For her big return to Paris, Céline Dion had chosen an impressive necklace, signed by a historic (and feminine) house on Place Vendôme.
For her return to Paris, Céline Dion didn’t do things by halves. While the Quebec star has accustomed Parisian audiences to her generous and almost daily appearances in front of the Royal Monceau, the Parisian luxury hotel where she stayed with her family during her residency at the Plénitude Arena, the singer of “My Heart Will Go On,” “S’il suffisait d’aimer,” and of course “All By Myself” had, until now, focused more on fashion than jewelry. For her first appearance, expectations were immense, and the diva certainly lived up to them. For her very first appearance, she chose a strapless Dior dress, which she paired with a necklace of typically Céline Dion proportions—that is to say, spectacular.
It was at Boucheron, the first jewelry house to establish itself on Place Vendôme in 1893, that Céline Dion found what can only be described as a treasure. The necklace is a unique piece, from the “Histoire de Style” high jewelry collection presented in January 2026. Boucheron presents two high jewelry collections a year, designed by its artistic director, Claire Choisne. The first, at the beginning of the year, delves into the house’s heritage; the second, presented in July, instead embraces innovation (it was from this collection that Céline Dion chose the Tattoo necklace from the “Human Being” collection, which reproduces 19th-century Victorian tattoo motifs on smoky quartz elements, for some of the videos projected on stage).
A contemporary story
The Address necklace is from the “Name: Boucheron, First Name: Frédéric” collection, which earlier this year delved into the very heart of Boucheron’s history . Crafted in gold, black lacquer, and diamonds, this piece pays homage to the house’s address, incorporating the layout of Place Vendôme into its ornamental motif. Steeped in history yet strikingly contemporary, this imposing necklace also retains a surprising lightness, characteristic of its Art Deco style, which favors straight lines (including those of the central emerald-cut diamond), the transparency of white diamonds, and volumes simply edged with a black band. Worn directly against the skin, paired with a minimalist hairstyle (hair pulled back, a small chignon) and a black strapless dress, the necklace creates a sensational effect.
No doubt Céline Dion was also drawn to Boucheron’s distinctly feminine aesthetic, the brand that created the first necklace women could put on themselves (the Question Mark model), as well as its management, including its CEO, Hélène Poulit-Duquesne , one of the few women in that position in the jewelry industry, and of course, Claire Choisne. The latter stated that she was “deeply honored to see Céline Dion wearing Boucheron creations on stage and screen. As a designer, and personally as a great admirer of Céline Dion, seeing our pieces come to life on such an inspiring artist is a dream come true. Her voice brings a new dimension to these creations and graces them with elegance. “
While the choice of this necklace undoubtedly reflects well on the venerable jewelry house, it also places Céline Dion within a legend unique to Boucheron and the great figures who frequented 26 Place Vendôme: Queen Elizabeth II, the Maharajah of Patiala, as well as the singer Edith Piaf and the first French actress star, Sarah Bernhardt, were all close to the jeweler. Colman Domingo, Kate Winslet, and another Quebecer, Xavier Dolan, are among the talents regularly adorned by Boucheron. Between aristocratic legends and new creative energies, Céline Dion made her choice. And that evening in Paris, the singer had more than just a little gold around her voice.
