New York: “the American way of fashion”

New York Fashion Week begins well before its official launch. A handful of houses and designers have chosen to unveil their collections as early as September 9th. Among them are the master of preppy fashion, Ralph Lauren, as well as Coach and Cult Gaia. For the past three seasons, the Big Apple has experienced a real surge in popularity, a momentum marked not only by highly anticipated returns but also by a new generation of fashion designers determined to carve out a prominent place for themselves. For Spring/Summer 2027, Thom Browne is making his comeback in New York, after skipping the official schedule for San Francisco last season. Another major return is Diane Von Furstenberg , who is coming back nine years after her last show. The brand with the y2k charm, 7 For All Mankind, will unveil its second show. Others are expected, such as those from LuarTommy Hilfiger , and Sabyasachi . Magda Butrym , a regular on the Paris runway, and Conner Ives, a darling of London Fashion Week, will bring their subversive style to New York. Other familiar faces include Proenza SchoulerTory BurchMichael Kors CollectionCalvin Klein CollectionCarolina Herrera , Collina Strada, and Brandon Maxwell .

London: a renewed energy

“This season marks a turning point for London Fashion Week, with the return of major British brands and the emergence of a new generation of exceptional designers,” said Laura Weir, CEO of the BFC, in a statement. Among these comebacks is the McQueen Spring/Summer 2027 show by Seán McGirr, while Christopher Kane will present his collection for Mulberry. The BFC is also taking the opportunity to unveil Fashion Britain, an initiative that will “decentralize fashion by extending investment, opportunities, and cultural participation beyond London.” On the first day, H&M will return with a show that, judging by last year’s presentation by the Scandinavian brand, promises to be a true spectacle. The NewGen program for emerging designers will showcase collections by Oscar OuyangThe Ouze , Charlie Constantinou , Ewusie , Johanna Parv , Liza Keane , and the London-based French designer, Pauline Dujancourt . The more established regulars will also be there: Simone RochaErdemAaron Esh , Paolo Carazna , KNWLS , Richard Quinn , Chopova LowenaRoksandaDi Petsa, or Burberry, closing London Fashion Week.

Milan: Vogue: World and second times

Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 is shaping up to be a major event: Vogue World: Milan. After New York, London, Paris, and Los Angeles, the event will stop in the Lombard capital to celebrate craftsmanship and expertise, while also exploring the role of human connection in the digital age. While Milan Fashion Week has struggled to regain its momentum for several seasons, the September 2026 program promises some highlights. All eyes will be on Maria Grazia Chiuri ‘s second show for Fendi, as well as Demna‘s for Gucci. Alongside them, Tom FordDries Van NotenVivienne WestwoodMiu MiuCelineLoeweSacaiChloé, and The Row are among the most anticipated shows of the season. Several houses are also making their return after a season’s absence. This is the case for Maison Margiela, which presented its previous collection in Shanghai, as well as Valentino, which chose Rome for its last show. This Fashion Week will also be marked by several highly anticipated debuts. Drew Henry will present his first show as creative director of Courrèges, succeeding Nicolas Di Felice, while Kai Nesselrath will unveil his debut collection for Carven. Conversely, Rabanne will be conspicuously absent. Following the announcement of Olivier Rousteing ‘s appointment to replace Julien Dossena , the house is skipping this season to prepare for its new artistic director’s first show.
