She’s daring, and at 66: Désirée Nick is baring all for the men’s magazine “Playboy.” The grande dame of provocative entertainment is the cover girl of the October issue. With her nude photos, the cabaret artist, actress, and author, known as Germany’s sharpest tongue, wants to convey a clear message.
That is their message
“With these photos for ‘Playboy,’ I want to show that the perception of women in midlife and the second half of life has changed dramatically. We have to throw clichés overboard. Half of all women actually only begin to blossom after 50,” she explains in an interview with the magazine. For her, the shoot is an “act against ageism,” that is, against discrimination against older people.
The photos were taken in an elegant Italian palazzo. To match the setting, Nick opted for a glamorous look for her cover photo: She paired gold pumps and accessories with a simple pink tulle kimono adorned with gold sequins and feather trim. Her blonde hair was styled in an elegant bun.

Regarding her decision to do the nude photoshoot at over 60 years of age, Nick explains: “I wasn’t like this at 20. I wasn’t like this at 30 either. I’ve become this way because of my son, through motherhood, through responsibility, through independence, and through self-determination.” She wants to break down role models and clichés: “I’ve transported everything that’s called erotic appeal to a completely new age group.”
She hasn’t had any cosmetic procedures done, by the way. “I occasionally go to the doctor for Botox, but that’s just cosmetics. Absolutely nothing has been done to my body,” the 66-year-old clarifies.
