Copenhagen Fashion Week is coming to an end for the spring-summer 2025 season. This means that brands are now eligible to participate in the event by meeting at least 18 requirements in six key areas: strategy, design, smart material selection, working conditions, consumer participation, and production.

The Garment

“I wanted to create an individuality, not a trend,” says Charlotte Eskildsen, designer of The Garment, describing her spring-summer 2025 collection. She drew inspiration from works on display at the Thorvaldsen Museum of Contemporary Art, Denmark’s first museum. The overall style of the collection is based on mesh chiffon, and the brand sources its materials from second-hand markets in France.

Skall Studio

Skall Studio celebrates its 10th anniversary with a new collection featuring their signature streamlined silhouettes and romantic aesthetic. The brand’s design team also said that they were inspired by the work of English designer Lulu de la Falaise when creating the collection. “She was a master at creating avant-garde and bohemian styles with luxurious colors and patterns, and a golden mean style that was neither too feminine nor too masculine,” Skall Studio said.

Sinead O’Dwyer

This is the first time Irish designer Sinead O’Dwyer has shown at Copenhagen Fashion Week. She is a rising star who won this year’s Zalando Visionary Award, which recognizes innovative and creative designers who have a strong impact on society. The brand’s new collection features shibari-inspired rope-like designs, micro-length denim dresses, and multi-layered pleated skirts and X-shaped split hems.

A. Roege Hove

The brand’s creative director, Amelie Röge-Houve, aimed to highlight the female body with her spring-summer 2025 collection. Rather than creating sheer dresses and waist-hugging silhouettes, she focused on the types of materials she used. The designer said that the materials used in the collection, which seem simple on their own, can transform completely when worn, adapting to the body’s shape.

Fine Chaos

The presentation of the collection of the Danish brand Fine Chaos was notable for the fact that it lasted two hours, like a full-fledged concert. The brand has an underground style, in the sense that the fashion show was held in a place where there were many containers and warehouses, to the rhythm of loud techno music. The main idea of the collection is to depict the political and economic problems that are happening in the world, and try to critically approach the future that humanity is creating.

On the streets of Copenhagen: Discover street style looks

Street style looks from fashion weeks not only provide a glimpse into the trends and creative styling of the season, but also serve as a record of the contemporary fashion world. For Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2025, the crowd was mostly dressed in eco-friendly styles. In this sense, thrift and vintage styles dominated, as well as old clothes that were restored and creatively styled. It can also be seen from the street style coverage that Scandinavians are great at implementing the multi-layering method. For example, they layered bubble skirts over pants, wore short T-shirts over sleeveless shirts, and combined leopard, dalmatian, and striped patterns to create their looks. Of course, oversize silhouettes prevailed rather than fitted, and minimal colors created the overall atmosphere. Also, various jewelry items that were in high demand in previous seasons returned as bag accessories this time. However, the bag selection was mainly made from brands such as Loewe, Prada, Polene, Osoi, Bimba y Lola, etc.
