A new ingredient goes viral almost every day on TikTok, Instagram and similar platforms. From retinol to salicylic acid, beauty enthusiasts are regularly discovering different ingredients for their skin’s needs.

Instead Of Retinol: Bakuchiol

Retinol is an anti-aging miracle ingredient, usually of animal origin. However, beauty experts often criticize retinol as too aggressive and irritating, making the skin more sensitive in the long run.

An alternative is Bakuchiol. The effectiveness of the ingredient from Bakuchi seed oil is similar to that of retinol, but differs in some ways. Bakuchiol promotes collagen production in the skin and reduces wrinkles and blemishes. The difference: Bakuchiol has a milder effect, is tolerated even by the sensitive type, and can be used during the day.

Instead of Animal Collagen: Gentian

Collagen is one of the most popular ingredients in skin care. Many love its firming and antiaging effect, but what many don’t know is that conventional collagen is derived from animal sources.

If you want a vegan alternative, you can now choose Gentiana. It is a perennial plant known for its healing properties and belongs to the Gentianaceae family. It thrives mainly in mountainous and cold regions of Europe, Asia and America. Its action is even more powerful in combination with other active elements, such as edelweiss and centella asiatica extract, which effectively and naturally stimulates the production of collagen in the skin.

Instead of vitamin C: Viniferin

The much-discussed active ingredient vitamin C is especially popular with those prone to dark spots. This ingredient has an antioxidant effect and stimulates cell regeneration. Unlike retinol or collagen, vitamin C is of natural origin. That is why it is also popular in natural cosmetics. Nevertheless, many lovers of natural cosmetics now prefer viniferin.

It is an ingredient extracted from the juice of grapes and has been proven to be even more effective in treating blemishes and improving the skin’s evenness.
