Judy Craymer, the visionary producer behind the first two hit films, has confirmed that she is actively working on a new project. Although Universal Studios has yet to officially approve a sequel, Craymer’s confidence in the film’s future is unmistakable, hinting that she already has an intriguing story in mind.

Christine Baranski, who charmed audiences as the vivacious Tanya, recently offered an exciting insight into the film’s progress. In a twist, Meryl Streep , whose character Donna had a bittersweet end in the second film, could return in an unexpected role.

The original cast, including Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper, is reportedly set for the final run. If all goes according to plan, Mamma Mia! 3 promises to conclude the trilogy with the signature mix of joy, nostalgia and timeless ABBA hits that turned the first two films into global sensations.

While no official release date has yet been announced, the passion surrounding the project suggests it’s a priority for the creative team. For now, fans have to wait patiently, but with the obvious excitement of the cast and crew, it seems that this third installment is ready to bring another unforgettable journey through the world of Mamma Mia!.
