Familiar faces turned up at the famous event, which is held every year to help raise money for the running and activities of the Metropolitan Museum. Unmissable among them were also ladies who have been working in the world of show business not for years, but for decades. They had one thing in common – they shone and looked charming.
The attention belonged, for example, to the actress Pamela Anderson, who looked like a Hollywood diva in an Oscar de la Renta creation. And she acted a good twenty years younger than her real age.
