The gastronomic header began distributing in all Spain on July 12, with a refreshing issue with ideas and proposals to enjoy on vacation.

On our pages we also discover an engineer who makes the paellas of the moment in Valencia. His name is Pablo Boronat and he cooks them every Sunday for about 80 people in a garden next to the City of Arts and Sciences in the capital of the Turia.

The world of wine also has a place in the special, with the help of some of the best sommeliers in Spain who work in restaurants such as CoqueToki or Dani García’s Smoked Room. Six of them tell us what their favourite wines are for the summer and recommend options for all tastes and budgets.

The issue also includes a Michelin map , where you can find thirty Michelin-starred restaurants with the best views. In other words, dining rooms overlooking the sea, beaches or ports across Spain with gastronomic offerings featuring seafood. From the Cantabrian Sea to the Mediterranean, without forgetting the islands, we find, for example, establishments such as Miramar in Gerona, Peix & Brases in Denia, Magoga in Cartagena, Aponiente in El Puerto de Santa María, Solla in Pontevedra, Auga in Gijón, Elkano in Guetaria (Guipúzcoa) or Es Fum in Mallorca.

A summer special cannot be without a route of beach bars, where the views, the atmosphere and the good gastronomy are guaranteed, and a selection of dream hotels to relax and unwind. In this case, the destination is the Balearic Islands, where you can live at a different pace.

The recipes section , with four very summery dishes and a dessert prepared for METRÓPOLI by Pepa Muñoz , from Madrid’s Qüenco de Pepa, is joined by a stress-relieving getaway; a route along Spain’s main motorways looking for some of the country’s best roadside bars , recommended by chefs such as Martín BerasateguiDani García, Toño López and Nacho Solana; a selection of the most refreshing urban plans for those staying in Madrid in the summer and our now classic bazaar with the latest products and clothes for travelling.

Finally, the magazine closes with an interview with the irreverent actress Rossy de Palma, who this summer is immersed in the filming of the remake of La caza, by Carlos Saura. In it she shares the bill with Carmen Machi and Blanca Portillo.
