Radiant and flawless skin is one of the trademarks of stars and starlets. But a little makeup is not enough. You can only achieve the perfect glow with the right skin care.

The big stars from Hollywood: They look as if no amount of water in the world could spoil their complexion. Firm skin meets a radiant complexion that perfectly showcases their natural beauty. The secret of Hollywood lies in the right skin care. Actors in particular are subject to an unwritten rule to keep their skin in optimal condition for all purposes. Three skin care trends in particular are currently very popular.

1. Skincare trend: Skinimalism

Less is more is the motto of this trend. And in fact, this type of skin care is limited to a reduced and simple routine. The idea behind it is simple: Not only is the number of active ingredients reduced, but care is also taken to ensure that the ingredients are of natural origin. Gwyneth Paltrow , 52,  Emma Watson , 34, and Naomi Watts , 56, are already fans of natural products. These include creams, masks and serums that do not contain synthetic fragrances, dyes, parabens or silicones. Instead, natural ingredients such as vitamin C, aloe vera, green tea or chamomile are used. These soothe the skin, moisturise it and give it a healthy appearance. By avoiding a mix of too many ingredients or products, the skin is also avoided from becoming irritated or over-cared for, which can ultimately lead to skin problems.

2. Improve the skin microbiome: probiotics

The microbiome, i.e. the totality of microorganisms that populate our skin, acts as a gateway that fends off harmful influences, bacteria and viruses. This means that an intact microbiome plays an important role in the health of the skin and that of the entire body. An intact flora maintains moisture and forms a barrier against harmful environmental factors or UV rays. Disturbances, on the other hand, can lead to various skin diseases, such as acne, eczema and rosacea. It can therefore help to focus directly on the microbiome with probiotic care instead of just fighting the simple symptoms. Both Zooey Deschanel, 45, and Jodie Comer , 32, already use products with probiotics.

3. Technological gadgets for the home

Who says you have to go to a studio for treatments? The range of devices for at-home use is now huge. There are tools or masks with red or blue LED lights that can work against skin blemishes or acne. Others have a massage function that stimulates the lymph flow or allows active ingredients to take effect more effectively. There are also gadgets with microcurrent that stimulate the body’s own collagen production, which in combination with the right care can lead to firmer and more radiant skin. Particularly exciting and effective: the interplay of different skincare devices. The colorful potpourri of tools for at-home opens up completely new possibilities for skin care, as Rita Ora , 34, Julia Roberts, 57, and Chrissy Teigen , 39, for example, prove: from electronic cleansing brushes to masks with LED lights – the stars know exactly what is good for their skin.
