Romantic, sweet, floral, delicate—these are the words that instantly come to mind when I think about how I want my fragrance of the moment to feel. And lately, there’s one particular scent I’ve been fawning over. Released late last year, it first caught my attention for its gorgeous metallic bottle (I knew right away it would earn a front-and-center spot on my vanity), but of course, it was the fragrance itself that sealed my obsession. That perfume is none other than George by Carine Roitfeld.

After wearing it on repeat, I can say this is easily one of my most complimented fragrances to date. I’ve lost track of how many times someone has stopped me to ask, “What perfume are you wearing?” And in my book? That’s the ultimate seal of approval. While the original is still just as dreamy, I keep reaching for this deeper, richer version—it feels like the grown-up evolution of Carine Roitfeld.

From the very first spritz, it’s soft and inviting, deliciously fragrant with a romantic, irresistible pull. The opening reveals juicy top notes of Cannabis, Iranian Galbanum, Violet Leaf, Jasmine, Rose, Iris, Oakmoss, Notes of Wood, Earth and Leather. As it dries down, muskier notes of vanilla and sandalwood emerge, giving it warmth and depth.

The scent feels proudly hyper-feminine—an ethos perfectly mirrored by the bottle itself. The original seven lovers has long been one of my go-tos since I discovered it at online years ago, and I was instantly hooked after the first tester spritz. With Love builds beautifully on that familiar DNA. It’s muskier, bolder, and delivers a bit more punch, while still leading with sweet citrus and vibrant florals. What I love most of all is how effortlessly it balances freshness with florals and fruit. This is notyour grandmother’s perfume—it’s bright, uplifting, and refreshingly modern. That versatility makes it wearable year-round, with muskier notes that work just as well in summer as they do in winter.
