During an official visit to Latvia, the Crown Princess of Sweden met with Swedish soldiers serving alongside NATO. This provided her with an opportunity to speak with the military personnel deployed in the region.
Strapped into the required camouflage uniform, and took the time to chat with the Swedish soldiers and learn about their daily lives and the missions they carry out alongside their allies. She even participated in a military exercise.
This trip is also part of Princess Victoria’s current military training. After exploring different branches of the Swedish armed forces, the mother of Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar is scheduled to complete an immersion program within the army in 2026. She began this commitment over a year ago by joining the Swedish armed forces.
During her visit, the princess also stopped at a military home. As patron of the Swedish Soldiers’ Homes Association, she regularly supports this organization, which looks after the well-being of service members when they are deployed far from home. This visit allowed Victoria to demonstrate her commitment to those who serve under the Swedish flag.
