Walking
Kaia walks a lot daily – especially when she is in New York, she told George V Magazine. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
Sunday Morning Hikes
On Sunday mornings, Kaia gets outside with her mom. “My mom wakes up and we go on a hike together. We do a little hike in Malibu, which is really beautiful. We take my dog Milo who can outwalk me. Then we go and get smoothies at SunLife. My brother worked there when we were in high school, so it brings me back,” she told George V Magazine.
Crystals
“I’d say the quirkiest thing I do is probably my crystals that I leave outside to charge on the full moon and then bring back inside. I’ll lay with them on me or place them in different areas. I am very into Feng Shui and things like that. It’s probably not the most normal thing to witness, but I guess it’s not so far out. My favourite crystal that I really love is rose quartz. I just think it’s one that everyone should have and it just brings in a lot of really good energy and that’s just one that I like to have all over,” Kaia told George V Magazine.
Sleep
Kaia makes sure to get enough rest. “Sleep is very important when you’re traveling a lot to get your body clock on the time zone that you’re in. I also like to spend time with my family. I don’t want the distance to create space in the relationships that I have, so I try to keep in touch with them,” she told George V Magazine.
Journaling
Kaia is all about self-care. Daily journaling is part of her routine. “Yeah, I think it’s definitely difficult to manage your mental health, especially with the state of the world, but I’ve definitely developed some practices that help. I write every morning things that I’m grateful for, things that I can do to make myself happy today. Then I check back in at the end of the night and I write again the things that would have made today better, only things that I can control though, and things that made me happy today and that I’m grateful for again. Just being conscious of those things has really helped me manage my mental health,” she told George V Magazine.
