Vittorio [Hector] Boiocchi, the historic leader of the Curva Nord, had a bounty of €500,000 to be slaughter and was shot dead on October 29, 2022, by two hitmen on a motorcycle outside his home in Milan. This Thursday, police executed a pre-trial detention order against six people, suspected of being responsible for the crime. The investigation also progressed thanks to the collaboration of Andrea Beretta , former boss of the Inter fans, who has been in prison since September for another murder: that of Antonio Bellocco, a member of the eponymous ‘Ndrangheta clan, the Calabrian mafia, and also linked to the Curva Nord.

Prosecutor Marcello Viola confirmed that “a pretrial detention order was issued against six people, considered seriously implicated as instigators and perpetrators of Boiocchi’s murder.” The case had already led to a massive operation last September, revealing illicit business dealings in both corners of the San Siro and documenting the links between Inter fans and organized crime. Several suspects are charged with aggravated criminal association.

The new warrant covers Beretta, currently a judicial collaborator, Marco Ferdico – another key figure in the Inter fans – and his father Gianfranco, as well as the ultra Cristian Ferrario, Pietro Andrea Simoncini (linked to the ‘Ndrangheta), and Daniel D’Alessandro. The latter two are believed to be the perpetrators of Boiocchi’s murder.

Alessandra Dolci, deputy prosecutor of Milan, explained in a press conference that Beretta’s confession was key: “He declared himself the instigator of the crime, indicated a financial motive and claimed to have paid 500,000 euros, divided among those involved, to order the murder and gain control of the Curva Nord and the resulting profits.”

According to court records, Beretta recounted tensions with Boiocchi over the distribution of profits related to the grandstand and merchandising store. He confirmed that he had entrusted the murder to the Ferdicos, who in turn had called on D’Alessandro—detained in the Bulgarian town of Sveti Vlas —and Simoncini , arrested in the province of Vibo Valentia, Calabria. The order was served on the other four in the prisons where they were already serving time.
