Givenchy has introduced a new bag called The Snatch, which at first glance takes an important place in the current direction of the brand. It is a model that clearly shows the direction the house is heading after Sarah Burton’s arrival to the position of creative director in the fall of 2024.

It is made of high-quality calf skin with a discreet, natural texture, while the interior brings contrasting processing and hinting at a construction that is deliberately “discovered”. Color details become visible only when opening, which gives the bag an additional visual accent.

Metal elements balance between organic and geometric design, and are available in the golden and silver variants. The stability of the bag is further emphasized by discrete metal legs.

The model comes in three different sizes and is adapted to different ways of wearing – in the hand, over the shoulder or across the body, which makes it practical for everyday use, but also evening occasions. The color palette combines classic, darker tones with brighter and more striking shades, thereby achieving a balance between timelessness and contemporary expression.

In the modern fashion industry, bags are often brand identity carriers and a key commercial product. This is why The Snatch is a strategically important step for Givenchy and a potential new recognizable piece of the house.

Remember When Gigi Recreated Kim’s Taped-Up Look At Vetements

Kim Kardashian’s wild Balenciaga autumn/winter show look has since faded into the canon of wild Kim looks with her veiled Met Gala 2021 moment and her ode to Marilyn Monroe a year later. When Gigi Hadid cropped up on the Vetements spring/summer 2025 runway at Paris Fashion Week wearing a similar packing-tape yellow get-up, it brought memories of Kim ASMR-ing her way into Le Bourget back again. The Vetements X DHL link-up actually harks back to the spring 2016.
