Duchess Sophie Can’t Get Enough Of Her Beloved Wedges Shoes She Wore To Paris

In the flood of sportily dressed fans, the 59-year-old duchess clearly stood out. It is also interesting that she had her beloved shoes on her feet. And there is a story surrounding them that may surprise you. The wedge-heeled shoes that Sophie wore to Paris were said to be in the stomach of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

“She really didn’t like them and it’s well known in the family,” Vanity Fair magazine wrote earlier. It is said that the former monarch rejected shoes with a wedge heel and a raised platform, they did not seem feminine to her and were allegedly against the protocol.

Despite this, wedge-heeled shoes appear repeatedly in the wardrobe of members of the royal family. However, only the two most popular faces allowed it. The first is the already mentioned Sophie, who wears them almost throughout the summer. The second, of course, is Princess Kate. She was also seen several times at events with footwear, which is a street hit in the summer and is popularly worn by many women.

While Queen Elizabeth didn’t love wedge heels or straw-lined soles, similar shoes are literally part of the national dress in the Kingdom of Spain. Especially popular espadrilles and their heel variants are worn by Queen Letizia and both of her daughters.
