In partnership with Restore-EQ4 , a research center specializing in cell renewal, Guerlain targets the key mechanisms responsible for skin repair: Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs).
These cells are hidden deep within the skin, where they have the ability to move and migrate to sites of damage, releasing signals that stimulate the replacement of damaged cells, expressing indicators of the skin’s repair capacity .
However, with age and exposure to oxidative stress, these cells gradually lose their ability to move, multiply, and differentiate, becoming more sluggish and less active—which weakens the skin’s repair process. Guerlain has shown that the eye contour area, despite being inherently very delicate, already contains fewer of these cells compared to other areas of the face.

To meet the growing need for repair, Guerlain has increased the concentration of its Repair Technology, based on the same patented blend of black honey (from Weissan, Norway, and Connemara) and royal jelly, fivefold, as in the serum .
