Jacqui Hooper: I’d never thought about it, even though some of my friends’ mothers told me I had the potential. It was at Lana Del Rey’s concert at the Reading Festival that I was spotted. A man ran out of the crowd towards me, took my picture, and told me that if I was interested in a modeling career, I just had to call him. My best friend, who was with me, encouraged me to do it. A little while later, I was posing for my first photoshoot for Karim Sadli for Beyond Noise magazine . It’s funny because weeks before that festival, I was so excited to see Lana Del Rey that I was telling everyone that the concert was going to change my life. I had no idea how much.

GV: Did you study criminology?
JH: Yes. I think my mother’s fascination with crime and all the programs and magazines on the subject sparked a vocation. I was destined to be a criminal psychologist; I imagined meeting them in prisons. As it happens, life put modeling in my path, but who knows, maybe I’ll go back to my studies?
GV: What do you like most about being a model?
JH: Without hesitation, travel. We have the opportunity to stop over in so many wonderful places that we must take advantage of it and remain aware of how lucky we are.
GV: And what do you hate the most?
JH: The whole travel process: waiting in airports, security checks, the plane, the train, etc. It’s as boring as it is tiring. But once you arrive, it’s usually worth it!
GV: You were the model who walked the most shows in Spring/Summer 2026. What was your first reaction after the shows?
JH: I passed out in my bed for two weeks. The only thing I was able to do was go to a spa with my best friend.
GV: The three basics in your wardrobe?
JH: A very large jumper, vintage Levi’s and a pair of boots.
GV: What is your beauty routine?
JH: I wear very little makeup, but I love skincare. I’m a huge fan of Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads—a real miracle product. I also use a serum, a gua sha , and Pat McGrath ‘s rose moisturizer, which she gave me at the end of a photoshoot. As for perfume, even though I change it quite a bit, I always come back to COS Auburn , which I adore.
GV: What would you like to receive for Christmas?
JH: A fun gift! Beauty products, for example. I think the excitement you feel in a department store like Sephora is comparable to the excitement you felt as a child in toy stores. It’s an idea…
