Today in Paris, designer Matthieu Blazy debuted his fall ready-to-wear collection for Chanel, filled with exciting new takes on the French label’s signature tweeds and skirt suits. Better yet, the show saw the palatial Grand Palais setting transformed into a chic construction zone, outfitted with giant colorful cranes. (The show was to celebrate “works in progress,” hence the thematic set.) When it’s a Chanel show, after all, the space is always theatrical and larger-than-life—just like when Blazy transformed an abandoned New York City subway station into his pre-fall venue.

While models like Paloma Elsesser leaned into the classic uptown Chanel skirt suit, other attendees went more unexpected routes—like Robbie in her sheer tank and gauzy trouser from the spring 2026 couture collection, or Lily Rose-Depp in her full-on animal print Metiers d’art ensemble. Jennie even wore a fully-transparent netted skirt suit: The perfect mix of Old Chanel meets New Chanel.
Given the starry guest list, then, Vogue simply had to document more of the front-row action, so we enlisted photographer German Larkin to document these notable names in their VIP seats. Below, scroll on as Larkin caught all of the candid moments between stars. (Come for the Teyana-Margot embrace, stay for the Oprah-Kylie meet-cute.) Plus, we asked them to weigh in on the inspiration behind their outfits, as well as their favorite looks from the show—and what their favorite French words are.
