Over the following years, the couple was absent from David’s 50th birthday, Christmas and other family celebrations. During the new year 2026, accusations that Victoria and David Beckham were blocking Brooklyn on their social media — or vice versa, because Beckhams themselves don’t seem to be able to manage themselves — they escalating, and the conflict has become more public than ever.

When did the Beckham’s strife start?
The rustling began in 2022, shortly after Brooklyn married Nicola Peltz. Although the wedding seemed perfect, fans noticed one drawback: a dress designed by Victoria Beckham. Instead, Pltz Beckham wore Valentino, later explaining that she wanted to wear Victoria’s dress, but that the atelier could not finish it on time.
“I really wanted to wear Victoria Beckham’s dress and I thought it was beautiful that Brooklyn’s mom could make it for me!” Nicola told The Times at the end of 2022. “I was excited to put it on. I didn’t wear it in the end.”
It wasn’t just a dress. Mocrat rumors escalated when singer Marc Anthony allegedly invited Victoria on stage to dance with Brooklyn — a moment originally reserved for the first dance of Brooklyn and Nicole. Nicola, according to reports, left the room in tears.
What’s in the middle of the tensions in the Beckham family?
By 2023, things were calm. The Beckhams have appeared united at the London premiere of David’s Netflix documentary series Beckham. By early 2024, Victoria and Nicola were smiling side by side at the premiere of Lola, Nicola’s directorial debut, and even spent a family vacation in the Bahamas together.
However, the calm did not last. In early 2025, reports suggested that the relationship between Nicola and Victoria was not good again, and that Brooklyn had moved away from the family — especially after clashing with his brother Romeo over Romeo’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull. (For context, Turnbull had a short time dating Brooklyn earlier.)
Did the interview suggest deeper problems?
While David and Victoria were gathered in an interview with George V Magazine, their words—and silence—were speaking. David said, “I miss everyday training. I miss playing every weekend. Every day I wake up and feel like something is missing. Even at the age of 50, I can still play in my head.”
Neither Brooklyn nor Nicola were mentioned. Fans noted that they were also missing from David’s 50th birthday – both family celebrations, and celebrities parties. For a family known for their firm relationships and public display of affection, their absence was conspicuous.
Is this just another drama of celebrities?
Possibly – but the Beckhams are not a just celebrity family. Sources close to Brooklyn and Nicoli suggest that the couple feel marginalised, and that Nicola specifically confronted David and Victoria in ways in which previous partners were not. Some insiders claim that Brooklyn’s relationship with his parents has been undermined under pressure, with accusations of verbal tensions and long silences.
The situation is chaotic, but also deeply human – a reminder that, no matter how perfect Instagram seems, the family dynamics are never simple.
Brooklyn Beckham lays out his side of the story
On January 20, 2026, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham announced on Instagram Stories to clarify the situation and highlight the family drama again:
“For years, I kept quiet and tried to keep these things private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team continued to go to the media, so I had no choice but to speak for myself and reveal the truth about just some of the lies that were published,” Brooklyn said.
“I don’t want to make peace with my family. They don’t control me, for the first time in my life I stand for myself,” he continued. Beckham further claims that his parents had tried to destroy his relationship from the beginning and that it had not stopped.
He states that the drama with the wedding dress was Victory’s act – that Victoria Beckham cancelled making the dress at “five to twelve,” even though Nicola was excited to wear her design, which forced Nicole to urgently find a new dress.
Also, during the first dance moment at the wedding, Victoria allegedly interrupted the dance of Brooklyn and Nicole: “My mom took the first dance with my wife, which was planned weeks in advance with a romantic song. In front of 500 guests, Marc Anthony invited me to the stage, where I was supposed to dance romantically with my wife, but instead my mum waited to dance with me. She danced very inappropriately, in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my life.” This, he said, led the couple to renew their vows in August 2025. “We wanted to renew our vows to create new memories that bring joy and happiness, not anxiety and shame.”
Brooklyn further states:
- Victoria and David allegedly tried to pressure him and “bumping” him to give up his right to his name weeks before the wedding.
- The Beckham family reportedly shows no respect for Nicola, “no matter how hard we tried to be one whole.”
- His brothers, according to Brooklyn, attacked him on social media and then completely blocked him last summer.
- Although Brooklyn and Nicola travelled to London for David’s 50th birthday in August 2025, David refused to see them privately unless Nicole was present. Later, they were also “rejected encounters” in Los Angeles.
Brooklyn concludes: “The narrative that my wife is controlling me is completely wrong. Most of my life I was controlled by parents. I grew up with a huge anxiety. For the first time in my life, since I separated from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up grateful for the life I have chosen and found peace and relief.”
“My wife and I don’t want a life shaped by the image, the media or the manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family,” concludes Brooklyn.
Victoria and David Beckham have not yet publicly commented on the family feud.
